What it means for Vietnamese businesses
CPTPP gives Vietnam preferential access to Canada, Mexico and Peru, markets with which it has no other FTA. Proof of origin can be a CPTPP C/O issued in Vietnam or, under the agreement’s rules, a self-certification. Garments must generally meet the yarn-forward rule, which requires yarn and fabric made within CPTPP members.
Proof of origin
Usual proof of origin for goods traded with Vietnam: CPTPP. Check the current MOIT guidance and the agreement’s product-specific rules.
