Service overview
Ocean freight carries more than 80% of Vietnam’s import and export volume. Global Logistic Group ships around 250,000 TEU a year from Cat Lai, Cai Mep – Thi Vai, Hai Phong and Da Nang to more than 120 countries.
Thanks to long-term service contracts with major carriers, we keep space and rates stable for our clients even during the year-end peak season, something forwarders that only buy spot rates struggle to deliver.

Full container load (FCL)
20', 40', 40'HC and 45' containers, plus open top and flat rack equipment.
Less than container load (LCL)
Weekly consolidation at our Long An and Hai Phong warehouses, with direct services to major ports in Asia, the US and the EU.
Reefer containers
Produce, seafood and pharmaceuticals with temperature monitoring and 24/7 reefer plug-in at the yard.
Breakbulk and oversized cargo
Vessel chartering, bulk carriers and loading plans for project equipment.

How long does ocean freight from Vietnam to the US take?
From Cat Lai or Cai Mep to the US West Coast (Los Angeles, Long Beach) takes about 18–22 days; to the East Coast (New York, Savannah) about 28–35 days, depending on the carrier and transshipment port.
When should I choose FCL over LCL?
From around 15 m³ upwards, a full container (FCL) is usually cheaper per cubic meter, faster and carries less risk of damage because the cargo is not consolidated or deconsolidated.
What does an ocean freight quote include?
Our quotes itemize ocean freight (O/F), bunker surcharge, peak season surcharge where applicable, local charges at origin and destination (THC, documentation, seal) and inland delivery if requested.
Does Global Logistic arrange cargo insurance?
Yes. We arrange cargo insurance under Institute Cargo Clauses A, B or C with major insurers, and the premium is included in your quote.
